History:
The Celtic Anam Cara is one’s
“soul friend,” the person with whom you can share your innermost thoughts and
feelings. The Gaelic languages are spoken by the peoples of Ireland, the Isle of
Man, and the Scottish highlands, though they are related to the Celtic peoples
of Wales, southwest England and western France. The ancient languages, art and
mysticism of the Celts continue to exert a powerful influence over modern
western life. This simple inscription is here engraved in an uncial letterform,
derived from the rounded capitals of early manuscripts of the 5th to 9th
centuries AD.
