History:
We tend to think Equality of rights of as a modern idea however
the battle to establish freedoms, rights and equality is as ancient as
civilization itself. The Latin word AEQUALITAS which specifically refers to
equality of rights, was a rallying call in ancient Rome; in French, EGALITE was
the cry of the Revolution; in English, Equality is a central tenet of the
American Declaration of Independence. In the 21st Century, equality is the
modern symbol of Human Rights. This bold modern ring has been engraved in the
same letterform as the inscription as on the Trojan’s Column in Rome, an elegant
classical script worthy of the importance of its message.
