History:
The original of this 15th century poesy ring can be found at the British Museum,
London, England Department of Medieval & Modern Europe. The gold original has a flat hoop and is
inscribed, "EN BIEN EMER"
in old French. There is no direct translation into contemporary English,
but the poesy can be interpreted as, guarded, or
encircled with love. Formerly enameled, the inscribed
flowers and radiant suns separate the words. Genuine, Museum Authorized Reproduction
hand-cast by the
lost-wax method in the US.
