History:
French for “My Heart you have,” this
pendant is fashioned after it's poesy ring counterpart dated
15th century. The original ring is inscribed in period
French, the letter “o” in the word “Coeur” replaced by a heart. The necklace
design is an adaptation of the letterforms, while the ring is a modern replica
of its original counterpart. The Ashmolean Museum is itself an ancient
institution. Founded in 1683, it was the first public museum in Britain.
