History: The phrase is taken from
Solomon’s Song of Songs, Chapter 1 verse 2 and was used in a watercolor by the
Swiss German Artist Paul Klee 1879 – 1940. Few artists of the 20th century
have as great a reputation as Paul Klee. His success is not tied to a
singular identifiable masterpiece, but to a lifelong process of re-examining and
redefining themes and forms within a body of work. He was the first
European artist to have his work exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in NY
where it was extensively collected. His work can also be found at The
Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Genuine, Museum Authorized Reproduction
hand-cast by the
lost-wax method in the US. |
