Do not Wish French Poesy Ring

History: The original ring was engraved in Gothic script in French, “ne weil aymer autre que vous,” meaning, “I do not wish to love any other than you." French remained the language of nobility until the late Medieval period. The words are interspersed with sprigs of flowers.
