Each piece in our poesy jewelry line, is
hand-cast, using the centuries-old, lost wax method.
The lost wax process begins with a carved wax
mold of your posey ring, pendant, cuff, bangle or key ring. The mold is
packed with clay and fired at a very high temperature. During the firing
process, the wax evaporates leaving a cavity inside the clay. Your choice
of Sterling Silver, Gold or Platinum is poured into the mold. The piece is
cooled and the clay removed leaving a raw unfinished piece. The unfinished
piece is oxidized to produce the darkened lettering and design.
Each piece is cast by hand, and so, each
piece is unique. As a result, ring sizing is not always exact, so we allow
1/8th of a size in variance, which equals about 1/2mm in diameter.
Please note that because each piece is cast
by hand, incidents do occur from time to time which may delay delivery. We
kindly ask your patience in advance, should this occur. We will do our
best to ship your Poesy as soon as possible.
